WELCOME NEW VOUNTEER Taylor Shaw
Taylor will be using her creative skills in our Marketing and Public Relations Department.
Taylor Shaw, a native of Durham, North Carolina, is a sophomore at Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina majoring in Communications with a concentration in Mass Communications and Political Science. Her career goal is to become a news anchor. At Peace College, Taylor is heavily involved in many extra curricular activities such as the dance company, Helping Hands, a community service club, teaching dance classes, and NC-ACTS (North Carolina- Activating Citizenship Through Service; which is an extension of the Ameri-Corps.)

You Choose from:

• Working one-on-one with clients to outfit them in business attire
• helping to review and edit resumes, writing cover letters, and providing interview tips

• speaking as an expert at a Professional Women's Group meeting: mentoring a group member(five years' work experience is required for this)

• planning and arranging special events
• fundraising
• writing grants, marketing, working on public relations, or providing computer help.

You may encounter many defeats. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, and how you can still come out of it.
